Professionals can access expert advice for OTs seeking career development at the OT Show
The Occupational Therapy Service, an independent practice in the UK, will be offering an expert advice hub for all occupational therapists (OTs) seeking career development at the OT Show.
During the event, The Occupational Therapy Service will hold an educational forum for all recently qualified and experienced delegates to ascertain how to be successful in independent practice on stand D10, NEC, 27-28 November.
The Occupational Therapy Service is one of the UK’s foremost independent occupational therapy companies providing support for case managers, solicitors, insurers, retailers, equipment manufacturers, and individuals in the community.
It is led by a team of occupational therapy directors with vast expertise, namely RCOT Fellows, Kate Sheehan and Samantha Shann, who is also the WFOT president, alongside award-winning Adam Ferry and Lucy Leonard. Together, these respected healthcare professionals head up a team of over 100 associates who deliver clinical, consultancy, and training specialities.
The team will provide answers to all the questions any attendees might have regarding entering, or operating in, independent practice, such as answering queries around insurance, supervision, GDPR, and invoicing.
In terms of CPD, the Occupational Therapy Service is responsible for organising the conference programme at the OT Show.
Kate Sheehan, Director of the Occupational Therapy Service, commented: ” As a company we’ve accrued over 10 years’ of expertise in independent practice and as directors we have a combined 100 years’ of clinical experience.
“We welcome all delegates to come and talk to us about their future aspirations. Hopefully our knowledge can help guide peers along their career pathway, so they achieve greater reward and enhanced everyday practice.
“We are always welcoming new experienced associates to join our network which continues to raise the bar in terms of service provision. No other independent practice has the strength and depth we offer and we’d be delighted for more delegates to benefit from this proposition.”
In addition to advice and information for OTs, guidance for case managers will be available. Working closely with medicolegal professionals is routine practice for the Occupational Therapy Service.
It provides clinical reasoned, outcome focused reports. Delegates responsible for case management are encouraged to visit stand D10 to ascertain how and why the Occupational Therapy Service is the considered choice to help them achieve their goals.
The Occupational Therapy Service will also present an express on-stand seminar about the Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) at the OT Show.
