Baffin Technology Systems has released the Travel SIT, which is a transportable seating system designed to stabilise a child in a variety of sitting and lying positions.

Travel SIT’s backrest is made up of four adjustable trunk supports that work in conjunction with two safety belts and an anatomical headrest to support the child. The seat itself consists of six supports that stabilise the child and can be adjusted to the width of the seat.

Additional features include an adaptable abductor to assist with lower limb abduction, pelvic belts, and a lounger frame that enables Travel SIT to be used at ground level.

Available in sizes small and medium with heights of 70cm-105cm and 95cm-125cm respectively, the Travel SIT is suitable for most small children. Weighing 3.7kg, Travel SIT can be “effortlessly” set up in under 30 seconds. When not in use, it can be stored and carried in its own lightweight backpack, making it user friendly.

The transportable seating system ensures that children can sit in comfort and be supported at all times, which can help to enable families to enjoy trips to visit friends or relatives, meals out and holidays that may have been a challenge without a transportable seating system.

Marzena Komisarczuk, the founder of Baffin Technology Systems, said: “I believe that the Travel SIT is a fantastic addition to our growing product portfolio.

“We are always looking for new solutions that will help children live as independently as possible and the Travel SIT certainly helps us to achieve this.  We previewed the Travel SIT at the recent Kidz to Adultz event in Manchester and the reaction and positive feedback it received was amazing.”

Recently, at Kidz to Adultz North, Baffin Technology Systems showcased several examples from its portfolio of paediatric equipment to attending occupational therapists (OTs), parents, carers, and young people.
