Precision Rehab accepts 'Best in show' Naidex award.

Precision Rehab, a UK supplier of paediatric powered wheelchairs, has won the coveted ‘Best in show’ award with its PR 35S powerchair at this year’s Naidex.

This year’s Naidex show, the flagship event for disabled people to source new mobility and independent living products, took place at Birmingham’s NEC on 6-7 July.

Naidex’s ‘Best in show’ award seeks products that have the most positive impact on disabled people.

The award was presented to Precision Rehab Co-Founders Matthew and Emma James, who were delighted to receive prestigious recognition.

Matthew James, Director of Precision Rehab, commented: “To have received this recognition at what is the largest disability event in the UK is fantastic. We worked closely with the R & D team at Paravan during the development of the PR 35S and this award certainly makes all the hard work worthwhile”.

The Paravan PR 35S is the smallest standing powerchair currently available in the UK, according to the supplier. With a chassis width of 57cm and maximum user weight of 80kg, the PR 35S is a genuine paediatric-sized powerchair for children and smaller people and is also available is the non-standing PR 35. The powerchair is designed specifically for children, the firm explains, rather than adapting an adult-sized powerchair for a child where the base and seat can be too large.

The controls on the device have memory settings that store favourite positions, so the user can quickly switch between positions personalised for comfort. Standard powered features include lying, seat lift, tilt-in-space with anterior tilt, recline backrest with incorporated anti-sheer, and elevating leg rests.

The PR 35S has been crash tested to ensure it can be safely used in vehicles with tie down or docking systems.

Recently, Precision Rehab exhibited at the Kidz to Adultz event in Coventry, where it showcased several paediatric solutions, including the Paravan PR35S, to attending healthcare professionals and carers from its comprehensive range of powerchairs.
