Personal transportation solutions company Scootaround trialed the soft launch of its Scootaround app and self-activated devices, which are an ‘industry first’ in mobility devices.

The Scootaround app gave attendees the ability to book and activate either a mobility scooter or WHILL power chair device between 10th and 14th July at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

Attendees downloaded the app on their phones, scanned the barcode on the device, and filled out their booking details, in order to enjoy the convention with mobility provided by the device.

Advanced powerchair manufacturer WHILL designs and distributes short-distance mobility vehicles, providing products and services in over 20 countries and regions globally.
