AJM Healthcare support for Ukraine image

AJM Healthcare employees have come together to gather 10 large boxes containing basic but essential medical equipment items to donate to Ukraine.

Wanting to help Ukrainian people when war broke out, Andrzej Wochna, the North East London, Waltham Forest and Bexley Wheelchair Service operations manager at AJM Healthcare, put out a company-wide call for help for Ukraine.

He has been “shocked” by the support of his fellow AJM Healthcare colleagues throughout the UK, who have worked together to donate over 10 large boxes of goods that are making their way to Ukraine.

As part of these 10 large boxes of goods, Andrzej also had support from his friends at his Polish social club, The White Eagle Club. Within a day of putting out his request for support, he was “overwhelmed with a mountain of donations”.

Andrzej said: “I’m literally shocked by such a positive response.  I’m really proud to be a member of the AJM team.  Everyone has been extremely kind-hearted in their donations. Personally, I couldn’t be more thankful and thrilled about such a generous act.”

The items being sent as part of this generous donation include mostly basic medical equipment, such as wound dressings, gauze, bandages, surgical gloves, tourniquets and surgical aprons.

AJM Healthcare is a major UK outsourced wheelchair services provider, offering services to many clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) throughout England, such as for Derby and Derbyshire, Devon, Lincolnshire, and North East London.

Last year, the provider was re-awarded coveted CECOPS accreditation following a full assessment at its North West London Wheelchair Service contract. AJM Healthcare said that regaining CECOPS accreditation reinforces its continued assurance of quality and standards, not only for its North West London services, but for all of the company’s services nationwide.
