Careline Support launches new Personal Alarm service image

Retirement emergency call service Careline Support has launched a new Personal Alarm offering to provide support and reassurance directly to older people who wish to continue living independently in their own homes.

The new specialist service includes a variety of solutions to provide peace of mind to users and their families, including alarm units, personal pendants, smoke alarms, and fall detectors, which are all linked directly to Careline’s team of call handlers.

With prices starting from £16.88 per month and introductory offers available, support can be tailored to suit older people who are living alone or with a partner, recovering from hospital stays, or have ongoing medical concerns.

Operating nationwide from its dedicated call centre in Hampshire, Careline’s technology-enabled care (TEC) team provides advice, assistance, and peace of mind at the touch of a button, enabling users to stay independent for longer.

Careline already provides a direct 24/7 emergency call service to apartment owners at over 200 retirement living developments across the country.

The firm has monitoring services accreditation under the Quality Standards Framework for the industry body for TEC services.

James Knight, Monitoring Services Manager at Careline Support, said: “We’re delighted to be launching this brand new Personal Alarm service direct to customers across the country.

“It’s the latest step in an exciting time for the business, as our team of call handlers has more than doubled in the last 12 months and we already provide 24/7 support to a network of over 200 retirement living developments across the country.

“This is another important milestone as we look to keep growing and expanding our range of services, while remaining focused on delivering the support and advice our customers need to enjoy an independent lifestyle in their retirement.”

Careline Support is an independent subsidiary of Churchill Estates Management (CEM), a retirement property management specialist.
