TGA Mobility OT Show 2022 image

TGA Mobility demonstrated its assistive technology range to occupational therapists (OTs) at last week’s OT Show and discussed how these devices can facilitate enablement for clients at home and outdoors.

The supplier demonstrated its award-winning StrongBack manual wheelchairs, WHILL powerchairs, mobility scooters, and wheelchair powerpacks. The team also launched the new folding WHILL F and TGA adjustable chair range alongside the recently introduced Scoozy scooter-powerchair hybrid.

Visitors were able to trial and test drive assistive products on the stand, which was awarded ‘Best in Show’ for design by the show organisers.

TGA also talked about its service at the show. The supplier explained how TGA assesses clients in their homes, so the right product is supplied for individual mobility needs.

Each TGA Assessor regularly works with OTs so that clinical requirements are combined with lifestyle preferences, resulting in the perfect solution for safe and enjoyable independence. This understanding of client conditions is reinforced by TGA’s partnership with Parkinson’s UK and the MS Society, the firm underlines.

TGA Managing Director Daniel Stone demonstrated at the show and said: “We were delighted to win the award for best stand design especially as it was our debut.

“The team found the show insightful and we hope the professionals we spoke to now have a clearer picture of our products and what we stand for. We are a business that aims to help end users, and those OTs supporting them, with quality products and straightforward service that ensures the best outcome for all.”

OT Ailsa Reston and Co-Owner of RKS Occupational Therapist Services, prescribes TGA products.

She added: “The TGA WHILL powerchair is a quality product that is ideal for semi-ambulant users who value product style and usability. It resolves many barriers to independence through design that is viewed positively resulting in greater inclusion within society.”

TGA recently supplied a WHILL C2 powerchair to enable a disabled ABBA superfan to explore new areas easily and with confidence. Read about how the powerchair has changed Jess’ life and improved outcomes in this case study.
